Background
LeetDesk builds ergonomic, electrically height-adjustable desks for gaming, home office and work — with a focus on stability, configurable sizes and clean accessories from cable channels to monitor arms. Models like the LeetDesk Aura also carry RGB lighting with individually addressable LEDs.
For these smart features to feel like an actual product experience, you need reliable control from a smartphone: height up, height down, choose a lighting scene — without users wrestling with Bluetooth pairing quirks.
Solution
We delivered two native mobile apps for LeetDesk:
- iOS app in Swift. Clean integration with the Apple Bluetooth stack (Core Bluetooth), clear interaction model, robust reconnect behaviour.
- Android app in Kotlin. Equivalent feature set, adapted to Android's Bluetooth specifics (permission model, background behaviour).
- Bluetooth desk control. Direct line into the controller of the height-adjustable motors.
- LED control for RGB-capable desks. Scenes, colour selection and brightness from the same app, with no mode-switching.
Native rather than cross-platform: hardware control over Bluetooth is one of the few places where platform specifics become tangible, and a proper native stack delivers stability and response times users actually feel.
Outcome
LeetDesk desks can be operated comfortably from native iOS and Android apps — height adjustment and LED control in one interface. The hardware gains a digital control layer that matches the rest of the product's aspiration: ergonomic, configurable, built to last.

Why this fits us
Mobile apps for hardware control are a discipline of their own. They rarely fail on UI — they fail on Bluetooth stacks, reconnect logic, energy profiles and platform quirks between iOS and Android. That bridge is exactly the kind of work we enjoy: an ergonomic hardware product on one side, native platform depth on the other, and an app experience that doesn't feel like a bolt-on tool.
