Background
ImmoCloud develops and runs an established product in an evolved system landscape. Anyone who has worked in a legacy codebase with a large user base knows the truth: not every good idea ships easily, because behind every module sit contracts, customer expectations and processes that must not break by accident.
In phases like that it pays off not to treat external engineering as "outsourcing", but as additional muscle that integrates into the existing team. That was the assignment.
Solution
We embed as an engineering partner inside the existing team structures and work hands-on wherever additional expertise is needed right now.
- Analysis and implementation. We pick topics straight out of the backlog: concrete bug fixes, feature extensions, stabilisation of critical components.
- Refactoring in a legacy context. Targeted architecture and process improvements without destabilising production. We know when greenfield refactoring is more dangerous than the messier, stable status quo.
- Hands-on inside the team. We don't show up as an external architecture consultancy — we work directly with ImmoCloud engineering, in their tools, conventions and sprints.
Outcome
Faster problem solving, relief for the core team at bottlenecks, stabler evolution in a legacy context, and continuous quality improvement in the existing system. Daily concerns turn into productive progress — nobody "reinvents" the established product.
Why this fits us
Maintaining legacy systems is craft. It needs people who don't reflexively suggest "let's rewrite everything", but who can see exactly where investment pays off in a grown system — and, just as important, where you simply don't touch anything. That's what we bring.
