I'm an all-rounder: in projects I take on whatever is needed, from building a new feature to tracking down a bug in production.
What I take on in projects
- new features, end to end: data model, logic, interface, shipping. Recently an invoicing feature with e-invoicing and an editor for multiple people with text blocks, autofill, and PDF output
- reworking software that's in daily use
- debugging in production, including old or unfamiliar code
- operations: deployment, monitoring, infrastructure

Doctorate and volunteer work
- doctorate at HHU Düsseldorf, completed: dialogue-based argumentation and collective decision-making. Publications, talks, and decide, a participation tool I built on my own
- volunteer IT lead at the German Scout Association (Deutscher Pfadfinderbund): public websites and the projects behind them
- lots of home automation, with the occasional small improvement going back to the open-source projects behind it
